NFTs, like podcasts, are much more likely to be produced by a white man. How can we ensure that these spaces are not only safe for women but also welcome and supportive to people of all backgrounds? This episode of the NFT & Chill Podcast dives into just that.
And Brian loves shows about balancing life and brings forth, SHE Gets It Pod, hosted by Chantal, a podcast about balancing the wave of life while having the vision for the life you want. Y’all are always guaranteed a good gem, raw honesty, and tips from my personal experience to take with you.

Lynz: What you got for me? What was the first podcast that you shared
TRACK02: start with a question today.
TRACK04: What you got for me?
TRACK02: What was the first
guest 1: you get to see some nerdy side of Brian.
ย The podcast was entitled Boag
TRACK04: you get to see some nerdy side of Brian.
guest 1: about web
TRACK04: The podcast Boag
Lynz: how
TRACK04: and it was a podcast about web development.
guest 1: I shared it with a
TRACK02: All right. Any clue? How, how long ago might that have been, and then who’d you share it with.
TRACK04: It, it, I shared it with.
a classmate. I was in school learning web development, and
guest 1: now the podcast, it’s still in
TRACK04: ish, 2008 ish.
guest 1: the back catalog.
They are no
TRACK04: And, and now the podcast, it’s still in existence, but you have to pay to get the back catalog.
They are no longer producing. There are two guys out of.
England
Lynz: who knows. Uh, you know, you
TRACK02: So you’ve been sharing podcasts with people for 15 something years.
TRACK04: for, for, for
TRACK02: knows, uh, you know, you may have skipped a year or two in there at some point, but that’s pretty cool. Um, I can think back to,
Lynz: for me
TRACK02: I think it was 2011
Lynz: And I had gone on a road trip with a buddy and he had played me episodes. And so then when we got back, it was all
TRACK02: I had [00:02:00] gone on a road trip with a buddy and
guest 1: I’ve, I’ve attempted to listen to
TRACK02: so then when we got
guest 1: and just.
TRACK02: it was all I could talk about
guest 1: I, I don’t know, not, not a cup of tea for me.
Lynz: Right. Uh, at the time I was doing standup comedy.
And so it, it
TRACK04: don’t know, not, not a cup of tea for me.
TRACK02: Right. Uh, at the time I was doing standup
guest 1: how did I not know you used to do standup?
Lynz: Oh yeah. For two years when I lived in the bay area, I did open
TRACK04: how did I not know you used to do
Lynz: Three to
TRACK02: yeah. For two years when I lived in the bay area, I did
Lynz: also doing music open mic. So sometimes I would do
TRACK02: to five a week, easy. Um, I was also doing music open mic. So sometimes I would do those were earlier in the night.
And so I would do a music open mic, and then I would meet my standup
Lynz: I did it because as a folk singer,
TRACK04: Wow.
Lynz: You gotta be funny in between songs. You gotta be sharp
TRACK02: did it because as a folk singer, you gotta be funny in between songs. You gotta be sharp and
Lynz: I digress cuz now we’ve been talking way long, but the idea was to talk about, uh, you
TRACK02: [00:03:00] I digress, cuz now we’ve been talking way long, but the idea was to talk about, uh, you
Lynz: that are around
TRACK02: shared because this
Lynz: maybe even submitting to
TRACK02: discovery
Lynz: So Brian and I do.
TRACK02: podcasts that are around now that are maybe even submitting
Lynz: lot of fun with it
TRACK02: So Brian and I do this every week
Lynz: as evidence Ryan’s just choking on all the
TRACK02: with it
guest 1: My apologies. I was getting ready to say,
if you’re listening to this, we encourage you to share this show with somebody else.
TRACK04: was getting ready to say. If you’re listening to this, we encourage you to share this show with somebody else. Because
guest 1: two
TRACK04: sharing this episode, you’re sharing three podcasts, this one and the two we cover.
So,
Lynz: called
TRACK04: Lynn, What do you have for us today?
TRACK02: Today? I have a podcast called the NFT and chill podcast and it’s pretty prescient because we are, we’ve been talking about NFTs,
Lynz: at NFTs for this
TRACK02: working with, uh, uncut.fm ourselves to try
Lynz: uh, got a lot of other
TRACK02: at NFTs for this community. Um,
Lynz: you know, it’s
TRACK02: It’s uh, got a lot of other topics
Lynz: again, like last episode, I’m, I’m a newbie to it. And so these episodes gonna
TRACK02: three world
Lynz: What have you got,
TRACK02: like
TRACK04: technology, but
guest 1: I have for you today, she gets it pod. And this is hosted by a
TRACK04: So I have for you
guest 1: dive into a little bit more about
TRACK04: gets it pod, and this is hosted by a young lady. We’re gonna quick
guest 1: Thanks for sticking with us through that short break.
TRACK04: All bearing with us.
guest 1: me about this,
TRACK04: All right. Thanks for sticking with us through that short break. Um, Lynn, Tell me about this, uh, this show.
Lynz: mean,
TRACK02: All right. So the NFT and chill podcast is.
Lynz: is a kind
TRACK02: Really kind of, I mean, the title says a lot about it, but it is a kind of low chill energy vibe talking about NFTs and web three [00:05:00] things. The host is called
Lynz: of energy, the mayor is here
TRACK02: you are feeling like
Lynz: deliver you this like chill vibe.
TRACK02: is here
Lynz: about NFTs.
TRACK02: deliver
Lynz: And this episode was about making space for women
TRACK02: about
Lynz: the world at NFTs
TRACK02: this episode was about making space for women in at N NFTs
Lynz: and she has a project called cyber cosmos world.
And that is an Ft project that
TRACK02: she cosmos
Lynz: web three project that is built around making space for women to feel like they are at the
TRACK02: you know, or a web three project that is built around making space
Lynz: of the game as they may have
TRACK02: at the
Lynz: So, she also has experience in cyber security. That seems to be where she’s done a lot of things.
So she brought,
TRACK02: she also has experience in cybersecurity. That
Lynz: And why don’t we introduce her with
TRACK02: she brought, uh, a
Lynz: Search
guest 1: is a female led organization, focus on educating and onboarding [00:06:00] as many women as possible to web three. We wanna open the doors of web three to women everywhere, make it easily accessible. That’s what we have been working since we started. That’s pretty cool because yeah, the development of computers and it was
TRACK04: That’s pretty cool because yeah, the development of computers and it was heavily dominated
guest 1: together and, and learn. That’s.
TRACK04: It’s good that she’s out there, a building community around women, so they can come together and, and learn. That’s.
cool.
Lynz: the discussion that
TRACK02: And it relates back to something in the podcast world that sort of has been on the discussion
Lynz: we can’t change who we are, but we can introduce
TRACK02: as two men here on this show, um, we can’t change who we are, but we can introduce
Lynz: felt like a really a great way for me to learn not only about the NFT space,
TRACK02: so it felt like a really a great way for me to learn not only about the NFT space,
Lynz: can [00:07:00] learn themselves and have a seat
TRACK02: Hey, I’m gonna
Lynz: That’s
guest 1: that’s pretty cool. And
it’s cool that she’s opening the world up of web three,
TRACK04: that’s pretty cool.
guest 1: I mean, I know a lot of guys that
TRACK04: cool that she’s opening the world up of web three
guest 1: they don’t want to take the
TRACK04: I mean, I know a lot
guest 1: And in the back of my mind, it’s
TRACK04: blinders
guest 1: how many people were
TRACK04: they don’t want to take the time to understand it. And in the back of my mind, it’s
guest 1: I mean, people.
TRACK04: many people were resistant to
guest 1: and we resist
TRACK04: How many people were resistant
guest 1: with the internet, I think that opened a lot of people’s eyes, but
TRACK04: and we resist change. But
guest 1: next week,
TRACK04: the internet, I think that opened a lot of people’s eyes,
Lynz: we’ve talked about this a few times ourselves. but a lot of people, when we
TRACK02: and the
Lynz: they just sort of
TRACK02: we’ve talked about this a few times ourselves. Um, but when we talk about NFTs, they just sort of go NFTs are a.
Lynz: and art speculation that a lot of the
TRACK02: And look
Lynz: of have built, been built
TRACK02: art and art speculation that a lot of the
Lynz: world
TRACK02: NFTs sort of have built, been built around
Lynz: but [00:08:00] the sort of underlying architecture of a
TRACK02: the art world itself is kind of scammy in that way, but the sort of underlying architecture of
Lynz: or a notary, right?
Yes. Like
guest 1: it’s that smart contract behind that
TRACK02: uh, having an e-signature or a notary, right?
guest 1: that’s where the value is.
TRACK04: behind that digital art or that digital
Lynz: women get to
TRACK04: that’s where the value
Lynz: They have
TRACK02: Yeah, and I want to be in a world where women get to use every life experience. They have
Lynz: to me, I want more brains imagining how to use this,
TRACK02: that’s gonna make all of our worlds better. And so to me, I want
guest 1: you know, and on this topic, when something new comes out, I don’t consider myself an early
TRACK04: You know, and on this topic, when something new comes out, I don’t consider myself an early
guest 1: okay, let me go download this app and create a profile and see what it’s
TRACK04: came about.
I’m like, okay, let me go download this app and create a profile and
guest 1: bulb moment. There’s value here. let me
dive in. I’m kind of like, [00:09:00] yeah, I should
TRACK04: typically not one to go light bulb moment. There’s value here. Let me dive
guest 1: NFTs
TRACK04: kind of like, yeah, I should probably.
guest 1: went, Hmm. I wanna learn about this. So I figured out I wanna buy this NFT.
TRACK04: went, Hmm. I wanna learn about this. So I figured out I wanna buy this NFT. Well, I need wax. Well, I don’t have wax.
So now I had to go to a trading account and transfer
guest 1: then I purchased a couple more
TRACK04: I could convert it to so I could buy
guest 1: would produce additional NFTs. And I’m like, okay, I have an understanding of
TRACK04: uh, regenerative that would
guest 1: I’m not all in to where I’m gonna buy
TRACK04: I’m like, okay, I have an understanding of what
guest 1: earn, but
TRACK04: I’m not all into where I’m gonna buy and sell day trade NFTs to earn, but
guest 1: verified provable owner of it, I thought was kind
TRACK04: be the registered verified provable owner of it, I thought was kind of cool.
Lynz: starting to play and people
TRACK02: well, and imagine, you know, [00:10:00] if we get the whole population starting to play and people start
Lynz: that to me
TRACK02: new forms of art and new
Lynz: so we’re still at such an early adopter phase or, I mean, you know, we’re like a
TRACK02: That to me is when it
Lynz: the investigators who have
TRACK02: so
Lynz: dabbled early dabblers.
TRACK02: or, I mean, you know, we’re like a
guest 1: well, and I mean, it’s the whole,
TRACK02: dabbled
guest 1: the whole concept of the smart
TRACK04: Well, and I mean,
guest 1: that lives behind that visual
TRACK04: the whole concept of the smart
guest 1: could have your entire medical record on a smart contract and you.
TRACK04: where.
guest 1: And it’s verified yours and you could share it with the doctor you’re
TRACK04: and you own
guest 1: versus
TRACK04: and it’s verified
guest 1: Um, I mean, that’s, that’s
Lynz: a, they can augment
TRACK04: doctor you’re seeing today
Lynz: findings they had,
TRACK04: Um, I mean, that’s, that’s a,
TRACK02: augment the smart contract
guest 1: there’s I see some long term benefit. I think the, the
TRACK04: and it’s there’s I
guest 1: even
TRACK04: long term
guest 1: And there’s some pretty cool things
TRACK04: the,
Lynz: The reason [00:11:00] people
TRACK04: even discovered just yet. And there’s some pretty cool things happening.
TRACK02: No,
I.
Lynz: And so
TRACK02: The reason people think it’s a scam is because it’s been so much
Lynz: a compound thing where like, somebody comes up with a basic thing. Someone goes, oh, I can, yes, am
TRACK02: discovered. And it’s a
Lynz: yeah, I do have one more quote and, uh,
TRACK02: goes, oh, I can yes. Hand that.
Lynz: you know, it’ll, it’ll help us kind of round
TRACK02: do have one more quote and, uh,
Lynz: from the guest in keto.
TRACK02: you know, it’ll, it’ll help
guest 1: you look at most of the people that build the internet and
TRACK04: Let’s edit this.
guest 1: there haven’t been that many women who build that space. And we wanna ensure that unlike the prior generation of the internet women don’t get left behind another interesting stat about crypto crypto tends to start as. Side hustle or a side hobby for a lot of people.
And because women tend to be busier with kids. And I think also just generationally men, having a bigger [00:12:00] seat at the table in the financial world is big indicator of why they’re the space is male dominated. Most financial worlds are heavily male dominated. Some of the things that we’re trying to do at search. this community and having this safe place where women can come and learn together. Men also love to learn among their friends. When I started to get into crypto, I started to text any friends that were interested in crypto about it because you are more prone to stay interested in something. If you have a community to do it. Because misery loves company. No, I’m kidding. it is that way for me, but it’s true. A little bit. Yeah. I learned
TRACK04: misery loves comp. No, I’m kidding
guest 1: this
TRACK04: you. It was that way
TRACK02: it’s true. A little
guest 1: And
TRACK04: I learned about it. and I’m
guest 1: a few of my
TRACK04: oh my gosh, this guy would appreciate it. Let
me share it with him. And you know, quite a few of my friends have gotten into
guest 1: fun to do [00:13:00] together.
TRACK04: and have profited some, and
Lynz: or
TRACK04: it it’s fun to do
Lynz: to make buddies.
TRACK02: I think you have to have a buddy or you’ll, you’ll either have to make buddies or you’ll have to have them already. Cuz I think that.
Lynz: cuz you’re like, wait, I have to set
TRACK02: I mean, partially cuz there’s the, the possibility of being fleed is so high at each stage. Cuz you’re like, wait, I have to set up nine accounts
Lynz: Right? And so if you have a buddy, you go, no, no, no. I read this article and this is the safe way to do. Like you can
TRACK02: all my data?
Right? And so if you have a buddy, you go, no, no, no. I read this article
Lynz: you’re at all
TRACK02: this is the safe way to do you, like you couldn’t validate your experience. So I would say if you’re at all interested in NFTs, first of.
Lynz: when it
TRACK02: Listen to this NFT and chill podcast, that’s gonna
Lynz: but also, uh, you know, find a buddy and reach out to us if you’re like, Hey, be my buddy.
You know, like we are, uh, we’re,
TRACK02: also, uh, you know, find a buddy and reach out to us if you’re like, Hey, be my buddy.
You know, like we are, uh, we’re,
Lynz: fun. You
guest 1: know?
TRACK02: we’re, we’re
guest 1: such a [00:14:00] dynamic thing as crypto and the amount of alt coins and projects out there.
TRACK04: as crypto
guest 1: In my opinion. I, I don’t know anybody that can stay
TRACK04: projects out
guest 1: And I, my
TRACK04: my opinion. I, I don’t know anybody that can stay up on all of it. And I, my NFT
guest 1: go, Hmm, let me check
TRACK04: is very limited.
guest 1: I’ll go do some research.
TRACK04: listening to a podcast and go,
guest 1: who are well versed, um, and. before I make a decision before I
TRACK04: a couple buddies who are well
guest 1: and you’re absolutely 100% right. Having a buddy is, is a great way to explore anything.
TRACK04: absolutely 100% right. Having a buddy is, is a
Lynz: first podcast highlight is over and it’s buddy is coming up after the
guest 1: All right, welcome back. And today I have for you, she gets it pod.
TRACK04: All right, welcome back. And [00:15:00] today I have for you, she gets it.
guest 1: so I’ll do it both
TRACK04: This is hosted by Chantel
guest 1: this young lady’s actually involved in quite a few different shows.
There’s a link to her website that, uh, shares
TRACK04: lady’s actually involved in quite a few different shows.
guest 1: title of this episode is
TRACK04: uh, shares all of that
guest 1: Can a guy marry the funny
TRACK04: title of this episode is what caught me And it
guest 1: interesting. Let me listen. And her, and some friends get around and chat and banter about
TRACK04: Let me listen. And her, and some friends get around and chat and banter about that.
guest 1: do I go out?
Yes. Do I go out to dinner?
TRACK04: you today, and we’re
guest 1: I’m not, you’re not gonna find me in a club. Like the most lit you gonna find me is at a cigar lounge. Where’s I’m just like, maybe I’m odd for the people, what people do. That’s common in my age range, because [00:16:00] I don’t like being in cigar lounges because I’m going to smell of shit that I don’t partake in. I’m not a drinker because. I can have like a, a little bit of liquor and I’m, I’m like a 50 pound white woman. So, like, I don’t have a, I don’t have a high drink tolerance and I don’t like to be unlike my controlled self in front of strangers. I would rather be home facts, facts. And, and to pick it back on that though, like to pick on that, that is something that separates married fun from like, Like just single fun, like that whole being out and being so drunk that, you know, you know, you let loose all of your kids and fears, like out in public, married people married, [00:17:00] happy, married people don’t do that.
Happy married people are back in the house by by 10 o’clock. Cause we all know that after 12 o’clock ain’t ain’t anything that happened after 12 o’clock is questionable. so, Lynn, what are your thoughts?
TRACK04: what are
your thoughts?
Lynz: thing to not feel like the
TRACK02: you know, I think, um,
Lynz: out on to get
TRACK02: I think it’s a pretty common thing to not feel like the stuff
Lynz: you’re
TRACK02: done by people out on to get found and to be out in the, so it’s the single scene. Isn’t, you’re not doing the stuff you like doing
Lynz: don’t enjoy in order to meet people.
TRACK02: you have to pay the
Lynz: And it sounds.
TRACK02: to play, you know, and you’re like, you gotta go to places you
guest 1: I mean, and the behavior, when you’re out as a
TRACK02: And it sounds
guest 1: you’re peacocking more, you’re trying to
TRACK04: Well, I mean, and the
guest 1: attention of those.
You
TRACK04: when you’re out as a single individual, you’re peacocking more, you’re trying to grab the attention of those
Lynz: You’re not going to use when you’re together. Right. But, so it’s a funny
TRACK02: And you’re attracting them for behavior. You’re not going to [00:18:00] use when you’re together. Right. But, so it’s a funny mix where you’re like, oh, the thing that brought us together was
Lynz: Right. And now it’s like, we’ve kind of mellowed out and we’re sober and
TRACK02: with the fact that we were single in
Lynz: chill time, but that’s not how
TRACK02: now it’s like, we’ve kind of mellowed out and we’re sober and we’re chill and
Lynz: now,
guest 1: it’s, you know, trips to the museum.
TRACK02: that’s not how we found each other.
The thing we had in common when that all started.
TRACK04: right
now. It’s you
Lynz: Oh
guest 1: man. Yes.
Sunday afternoon, naps.
TRACK02: afternoon naps, you
guest 1: I love the banter back
TRACK04: Sunday afternoon naps,
guest 1: friends. They, they did a really good job. And
TRACK04: I love the banter back and forth of the friends. They, they did a really good job. And later on in the episode, I do not have a clip. Others
guest 1: if we are single, right,
TRACK04: and their
guest 1: exhibit a lot of the behavior they’re gonna
TRACK04: a, I think if we are single, right,
guest 1: in a relationship
TRACK04: exhibit a lot of the behavior they’re gonna speak of.
And if we are not single in a relationship married or, or not,
guest 1: and [00:19:00]
TRACK04: Um, you do, you can sit back and realize you have settled down quite a bit and you know, just growth through
guest 1: I just think
TRACK02: Yeah. And sometimes you miss it, but not
guest 1: I’ve spent in bars, sitting in
TRACK04: just think if I had 10% of the money I’ve spent in bars,
Lynz: Yeah.
TRACK04: sitting in a bank
Lynz: no, I’m I there’s a year and a half of my life. I’d I’d redo. I think if I had been, but I, you know,
TRACK02: I’m I there’s a year and a half of my life. I’d I’d
guest 1: Yep. All right. Here is clip number two of she gets it pot.
TRACK02: I was just
guest 1: We live in like a microwave
TRACK04: All right. Here is clip number
guest 1: kind of sped up a little bit. Yeah. And I think if people would slow down, like just the, just a tab bit, if they would just slow down or just a tab bit, they would actually realize whether, whether the fund that they’re having with a person, like whether it’s a genuine fund or whether it’s. [00:20:00] Or whether it’s just alright, this just for the moment kind of thing, because it don’t take long. It take like three months to really find out like, if a person is who they say they are like, for real, it, it take like three months, like in three months and three months you gonna see like all sides, like something good is gonna happen and you gonna see how they react.
You gonna see something that happens that make them upset and you like, and you can see how they. You know, I was working on an episode of a young couple and he with intention
TRACK04: I was working on an episode of a young couple and he with intention made their first
guest 1: reacted, handled,
TRACK04: because he wanted to see how
guest 1: puzzle and game and awkwardness.
And then the funny thing is unbeknownst to them, the room they were put in, they were handcuffed to a bed together. First date, you know, it’s like, but [00:21:00]
TRACK04: the room they were put in,
guest 1: you’re right. Three months is enough time to see the good, bad, the ugly.
TRACK04: but
what you’re right. Three months is enough time to see the good, bad the.
guest 1: course. But.
TRACK04: are there things we can do to
guest 1: dating with the intent of to find the one it’s to find companionship
TRACK04: a lot of people inter dating with the intent of,
guest 1: and take a slower approach to
TRACK04: it’s to find companionship and see if they’re
Lynz: Yeah. I mean, I think if you’re
TRACK04: take a slower approach to it.
But three months, that’s that’s good advice.
TRACK02: Yeah. I mean, I think if you’re not feeling like it’s
Lynz: uh, I just, you know, like that’s some real wisdom and, uh,
TRACK02: you know? And, um, I just, you know, like that’s some
Lynz: a lot of what he was saying there it’s like, oh yeah, yeah, no, you know.
Yep. You know, and
TRACK02: hard through a
Lynz: know, the,
TRACK02: there it’s like, oh yeah, yeah, no, you
Lynz: wrong stuff
TRACK02: you know, and you know,
Lynz: very fast. Yeah. You
TRACK02: wrong, the truly wrong stuff makes it,
Lynz: like, I [00:22:00] could almost see this work and this might,
TRACK02: You know, it’s,
guest 1: yeah, if you’ve gotta force.
TRACK02: linger a little bit. You’re like, I could almost see
guest 1: go back to the bar and find somebody new.
Yep.
TRACK04: Yeah. If you’ve gotta force it.
guest 1: well, that is, she gets it pod hosted by Chantelle and, uh, her website
TRACK04: Well, that
guest 1: in the show
TRACK04: gets it pod hosted by
guest 1: you to head on over there and
TRACK04: uh, her website link and Twitter handler in the show notes
guest 1: out. You might find this show to be your cup of tea and or one of the other shows she’s involved in producing.
TRACK04: few episodes
guest 1: thank you
TRACK04: you might find this show to be your cup of tea and or one of the other
guest 1: too can submit your podcast to feed drops. If you are a
TRACK04: submitting your show to feed
guest 1: if you’re a listener, we
TRACK04: can submit your podcast to
guest 1: this show with other people looking. Bingeable content they might
TRACK04: to share this show with other people, looking
Lynz: sort of our
TRACK04: bingeable content. They might

TRACK02: And if you would like to see sort of our whole slate of things,
Lynz: audio and
TRACK02: [00:23:00] one place, you can check out our sub stack newsletter that goes out weekly and it has audio and video
